As a result of the blizzard that occured a few days ago, it created the perfect opportunity to construct a natural shelter made from the leftover snow. I began by using a tractor to build a large pile of snow and then proceeded to use the bucket on said tractor to compact the snow so that is would be firm and icy rather than powedery and would be able to support itself.
After doing this, the sun set and I decided to let the pile sit over night in order to freeze a bit more. The next day I began to create the entrance using shovels that I found in the garage. The entrance would start at the right side of the fort and the inside would extend left towards the end of the pile of snow. I simply worked my way into the pile of snow with a small shovel while my dad collected the snow and put it off to the side with a larger shovel. After some time the hole had been dug and even without a floor it was sufficient.

At this point I went and found a small plastic tarp which I was able to lay down inside the fort in order to provide some type of floor to stay off the cold snow. These were the final results
The shelter did not take very long to build; however, without the help of someone else it would have taken much longer. The end result was a shelter in which multiple people would be able to survive the elements and weather conditions of the outdoors. I was able to easily lie down inside the shelter and stay out of the wind as well as the cold.
